Baltimore Educators November Meeting

TMA’s Baltimore Educators Group
Launched during the in 2025–2026 academic year, TMA’s Baltimore Educators Group brings together Baltimore City and County Public Schools, local colleges and universities, and community partners to strengthen P–20 collaborations. The working group explores how higher education can equitably support K–12 schools through tutoring, mentorship, and support K-12 students’ civic and community engagement.

A key focus is empowering college students to infuse civic education into after-school initiatives, while staff evaluate and improve partnerships to ensure lasting impact. Through this work, the P20 CONNECTS Program aims to embed civic and community engagement into the fabric of school–university partnerships. By connecting the dots to strengthen the P20 pipeline for civic and community engagement, we create learning opportunities for all youth to become engaged leaders and change agents with their communities for our shared democracy.
