ALUMNI AWESOMENESS: Hope enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school where she served for seven years, giving her firsthand experience when she helped fellow veterans for her VISTA project at Stevenson University.

TMA VISTA PROJECT: As Director of the Veterans' Career Education Program, Hope ran job search and career management workshops, started a student-veteran club, and created a Resource Guide for Veterans distributed widely across the region. In addition, Hope organized the bi-annual Veterans' Career Fair at Stevenson, which welcomed both Stevenson students and local veterans.

WHERE IS SHE NOW?:  After using her VISTA non-competitive eligibility status to join the United States Department of Agriculture as a training specialist, Hope's VISTA experience proved pivotal, pun intended, as she pursued a new career direction in Instructional Design. She now works with KnoweldgeBank, serving as an Instructor for Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency.

Not Telling You What to Do: A veteran herself, Hope understood the mindset and needs of other veterans.

Getting to Work: Hope discusses her role in helping veterans receive the services they need.
