Global Challenges, Local Impact

Transform Mid-Atlantic is proud to present the 2023-2024 TMA Civic Fellowship Capstone Project Yearbook.  Throughout their year of learning and dialogue focused on leadership and sustainable community engagement and development, the cohort of 13 Civic Fellows proposed, developed, and executed their own capstone projects.  Each project reflects the personal, academic, and professional interests and experiences of the student.  Fellows incorporated aspects of the "four-legged stool of sustainability" that we learned about from guest speakers throughout the year, which includes four overarching and interconnected themes: society, the economy, the environment, and governance.  Additionally, the fellows were encouraged to connect their work to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.  The local challenges addressed by these projects are truly connected to global systems and patterns.  We invite you to read through their interactive yearbook, included below, to learn more about their work.  We hope that you take inspiration from these projects and the young leaders who developed them.  Should you have any questions about the fellowship program or the capstone projects, please email Anthony Wagner V and Martha Fitzpatrick Bishai.
