9/11 Day of Service Grant Applications Open Until June 26 for TMA Member Campuses!

Transform Mid-Atlantic is pleased to announce that it has received funding from 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps alongside Partners for Campus-Community Engagement (PA/NY) and the Seed Coalition (IA/MN) to provide five (5) grants of $2,250 each to member colleges and universities in Maryland, DC, Delaware, West Virginia, and Northern Virginia to support campus volunteer projects/events during the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.

All funded projects/events must take place between September 1-25, 2025. Representatives from TMA member institutions may apply for this grant opportunity to support volunteer-generating activities aligned with the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Any reasonable service project will be considered, with preference to projects that address hunger, homelessness, veterans, needs of first responders, environmental sustainability, education, health, revitalization, and other community priorities. Grantees are encouraged to get creative, and innovative, with their project ideas! Projects can address a myriad of issues and foci, including the following:

  • Hunger Relief (meal pack, food drive, etc.)

Grantees and volunteers at their projects will be invited to participate in a virtual kick-off celebration with 9/11 Day and TMA's partner organizations across the United States through the Alliance for Campus Community Engagement (ACCE). Grantees will receive more information about reporting, expectations for branding/communications, etc. after their application has been accepted.
