Welcome to TMA AmeriCorps VISTA Class '25
I am a passionate student who is on track to earning a B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology from The University of Maryland’s Global Campus later this year. I served as an inaugural Student Parent Fellow for the 2021-2023 Generation Hope FamilyU cohort. As a Fellow, I was able to initiate efforts dedicated to increasing on-campus resources for the children of student parents to access.
I hope to utilize my advocacy, social justice, and communications skills in a nonprofit or higher education organization after graduation, and plan to pursue graduate studies in Social Work in the future. I am elated for the opportunity to serve my one-year term as an AmeriCorps VISTA member, increasing awareness of student, staff, and faculty supports at my site.
